If you have ever played this game, you love it. Don't deny it, there is some part of you that loves that childish ideal in your mind, that you can keep your balance and knock everyone else over. The only problem I have ever heard people have with this game, is people invading their personal bubbles and what I say to that, Get over it.

Left food Green, Right Hand Red, man, just riding this out has brought a smile to my face. This game is timeless. It is simple and I love it. Enough Said.

This game has just about anything in it.

I just played this game last weekend and I was blown away with how many activities are involved in it. I know I have played this game in the past but really this game has just about everything. One of the best party games ever, in my opinion.

There are events with everything in them: Drawing, Wordplays, Trivia, Acting, Sculpting, etc. And they have done a really good job of keep the game short enough that people don't lose their attention span like you sometimes do in a game like Monopoly. Pull this game out of the closet and give it another shot, I am glad that I did.

There are few games that I enjoy as much as the game of Scrabble. It is not that I am a great speller or in Mensa, it is just is a pretty fun game. And who would have thought I would be saying this because I loathed school so much as a child.

Scrabble never gets boring for the fact that you have a random group and an infinite amount of possible way the game could turn out because of what the other players lay down. The best thing is that my mind starts organizing words out after I play it and it makes me feel more intelligent.

There are few older games that as beloved as the detective game of Clue. Though the rules are quite simple, everyone enjoys discovering the mystery of who is the killer and how it was done. This game was even so loved that they created a hilarious movie about it.

I have recently bought this fancier version that brings a little more class to the game. If you haven't sat down and played Clue in a while, take the time. The classics never get old.

Cosmic Fun!!

Now if you want a great game that every time you play it has the chance to be completely different game, then this is the game you want. Cosmic Encounters has become one of the most enjoyable and avidly played in my library.

The basis of the game is to conquer your opponents planets and not lose too many of yours. What makes it so much fun is that each race has powers (like stealing as many cards you can without getting caught) and this is where the hilarity begins.

Power Grid... Legendary game

Now because I have bought some many games over the years, I usually don't just get stuck one and play it over and over. Well, over the New Year holiday, my family got Power Grid and no other game was played.

In the traditional German style of Board game like "Ticket to Ride" the game has simple rules but the real strategy is how you play against other players. There are several ways to make sure the advantage is on your side. My family could not get enough of this game, I think we played this game two or three times a day. Don't take my word for it, buy this game and you won't regret it.

Munchkin ... it's all about stabbing your friend in the back

If you want to have a great time, get a few friends together and crack open a game of Munchkin and watch the hilarity ensue! I love this game, it is not the most complex game ever so don't worry. You pretty much want take advantage of your friends and hold them down will you make a beeline for the goal line.

It is great card that you can play anywhere and there are so many expansions to the original game that the game never has to end. This game is getting such a following that in most board game stores, there is a set apart Munchkin area. It is well worth the price, I promise you.

Well, it’s that time of year again, time for Thanksgiving and Black Friday, the two busiest days of my life. One day I spent cooking and eating the greatest food on Earth, then I have a midday nap and I get ready to stand out in the cold so that I can get amazing shopping deals. This year, I am playing to head straight for the board game aisle. Though, I have figure out a way to even get more off on my Black Friday sales. My master plan this year is to get gift certificates that at a discount on sites like citydeals or others and then use them for payment on my items. This is what I call a double bonus, a genius move on my part! Also, I get the feeling I will have one of the best game library on my block.

Players collect train cards that enable them to claim railway routes connecting cities throughout North America. Great game for players 8 and up.

So I have been searching around for unique ideas/games for my family to do the next time we have a night together. A friend of mine referred me to this article about a mystery letterbox game, give it a try before you judge. My family did this and loved it, so I thought I would share it with you.

Idea For a Family Activity - Find a Mystery Letterbox

A mystery letterbox is a great activity that is done outside and is fun for all ages. This makes it a great family fun activity. Not only does it let you be out in the fresh air, but it also exercises your mind by trying to solve a puzzle.

If you aren't familiar with letterboxing, it's a hobby of sorts. It started on the moors of England and now has spread to the U.S. and other parts of the world.

Basically, a letterbox is a container you find outside somewhere. A common place to hide them is in parks on trails.

What's inside this mysterious container? Simply this: a log book, a rubber stamp, and usually an ink pad. Yup, that's it.

What you're really doing is collecting stamps. The stamp in the box usually represents it. So a box along the trail to Mt. Washington would probably be a picture of Mt. Washington. Most of these stamps are hand-carved by whomever hid the box, so they are pretty intricate and unusual.

When you're ready to set out to find one of these boxes, the first thing you do is lookup and print out clues that can be found on a website. Then off you go. You bring with you your own logbook and your own "signature stamp" that represents you. This stamp can also be hand-carved.

When the box is located, you take the stamp from the box and stamp it into your personal logbook. Over time you collect hundreds and even thousands of stamps. But you also stamp your personal signature stamp into the book that lives in the box. This shows that you've been there. It's lots of fun to look over the comments from all the people who have found that particular box.

So what makes a mystery letterbox different from a regular one? Well, for ordinary boxes, the "clues" are really directions. They tell you exactly where to go to find the box. For instance, the clue might say "Take the skyline trail, at the first fork go left, in 10 steps look behind the 3-trunked tree on your right."

But a mystery box requires more of you in order to find it. These boxes are little puzzles that have to be figured out. So for this reason, they are great if you want to give your kids a challenge. And there's nothing more satisfying than finding a letterbox you had to solve a clue for.

Here's an example. My husband and I are big Harry Potter fans. One letterbox on Cape Cod was hidden the day one of the Harry books came out. The clue consisted of instructions based on something from the series.

One step said to find the pond named after Colin Creevy's brother. Then count the number of words into the first book when it first mentioned where Mr. Dursley works and do certain calculations on that number, etc.

When we found the box, the stamp inside was a hand-carved image of Hagrid with Hedwig sitting on his shoulder.

So as you can see, finding a mystery letterbox can be lots of fun for the entire family. To locate mystery letterboxes, go to one of the following websites:
